Special Operations Wounded Warriors

Special Operations Wounded Warriors (SOWW) is a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to providing outdoor experiences, therapeutic retreats, and other services to wounded or injured active and retired veterans of the U.S. Special Operations Forces and their families. Founded in 2012, SOWW seeks to serve and support Special Operations veterans, to make a difference in their lives, and to demonstrate love and appreciation for those who sacrificed so greatly for our country.

All donations go directly to Task Force Expedition Inc. (TFE) to support our mission. TFE is organized as a section 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Code. TFE has applied for recognition of its exempt status from the IRS, and is awaiting such determination. TFE has no reason to believe the exempt status will not be granted, and if granted, the exemption will be retroactive to the date of incorporation.

MEET THE CLIMBERS

GEORGE FRASER

CSM (Retired) George E Fraser served 32 years in the U.S. Army entering service March of 1989.

George is 100% VA disabled because of PTS and TBI injuries among other things.

George volunteered for Special Forces in 1992 and became a Green Beret assigned to 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) in 1993 at Ft. Bragg NC. He would serve 28 of his military years in Special Operations

George has almost 6 years’ time in combat zones including the first gulf war, and deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria and earned 2 Legions of Merit, 6 Bronze Star Medals for Valor, 4 Purple Hearts and various other awards.

Upon retirement George worked contracts teaching marksmanship, CQB and leadership. In 2021 he accepted a freelance position at Fox News Digital.

George takes the opportunity, when possible, for speaking engagements including speaking to the students at West Point and The Citadel; and speaking engagements at Wheeling W. Va. University and San Diego High School.

Mr. Fraser lives in Florida with his wife Gail and son Tanner and has 2 daughters Creassia and Sage, and two other sons Kenneth and Angelo.

PETE BROWNELL

Pete Brownell is a well-known leader in the firearms industry and an avid outdoorsman. He became CEO of Brownells, Inc., and the broader Brownells Family of Companies in 2012, after serving as President since 2007. Brownells is a leading supplier of gunsmithing tools, firearms accessories, and reloading components. The Brownells Family of Companies includes Crow Shooting Supply, Gamaliel Shooting Supply, Sinclair International, and AR15.com, an industry hub with over 11 million monthly users.

Mr. Brownell has also served in prominent roles nationally, including as President of the National Rifle Association and Chairman of the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers. His contributions extend to education and economic development; he is a trustee of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College Foundation and was twice appointed to the Iowa Economic Development Authority by the Governor.

An enthusiastic hunter and mountaineer, Mr. Brownell is particularly drawn to mountain species like elk and has achieved the Grand Slam of North American Sheep. He spent much of his younger years rock climbing and leading outdoor adventures.
